Safety Device to Prove Invaluable for Motor Industry with Introduction of Innovative New Product

An innovative safety product manufactured for use in the motor industry is set to lower the amount whiplash sufferers.

Bolton, Lancashire, June 25, 2010 (PressReleasePoint) -- RelaxGoSafer is produced by Swedish company Por Pac and has been specifically designed to help reduce the risk of whiplash for both drivers and passengers.

Whiplash protection headrest, RelaxGoSafer, guarantees that cars will now feel more comfortable to drive, whilst also protecting the head against crash-related injury.

Fully tested on drivers over a number of years and with the help of Swedish insurance company Folksam, Por Pac also used the help of the Swedish Road Administration to design the ideal consumer product for reducing whiplash.

In Sweden alone, almost 30,000 cases of whiplash are reported each year. This figure is also reflected in the UK.

RelaxGoSafer is easily adjustable and is fastened to the headrest of each seat, cradling the back of the head so that it is kept in a comfortable and safe position, when fitted correctly.

The product works by reducing the distance between a person’s head and the car head restraint; thereby minimising the risk of whiplash. By placing the head in a natural and restful position, it allows the driver and passenger of the car to be in the correct position for collision, whether they are aware one may take place or not.

RelaxGoSafer comes with an attached strap, which is used to keep it in place with the headrest. This can be adjusted to the correct height for the user.

Adjusting the angle of the seat, so that there is minimal distance between the two head rests, gives added support.

The headrest is made of EPP material, which is environmentally friendly and hard-wearing. Meeting the industry standards, its protective cover can also be washed in accordance with label instructions.

RelaxGoSafer stands at a height of 32cm, depth of 18cm and weighs just 0.5 kilos.
