Samsung's New Line of DTVs First To Feature Enhanced InstaPort™ Technology

SUNNYVALE, Calif., April 13, 2010 – Silicon Image (NASDAQ: SIMG), a leader in semiconductors and intellectual property (IP) for the secure distribution, presentation and storage of high-definition (HD) content, today announced that Samsung’s new flagship line of 3D LED/LCD TVs is featuring Silicon Image’s enhanced InstaPort™ S single-second switching technology.

InstaPort S-enabled HDTVs will work with any HDMI®-connected source device to enhance consumers’ HD experience by significantly reducing the four to seven second delay that typically occurs when switching between HDMI-enabled devices connected to the DTV.
