Sarah Palin (“Sarah Six Pack”) Is Making News, SarahSixPack.com Goes to Auction

As former vice presidential candidate Sara (Sarah Six Pack) Palin returns to the media spotlight, her domain SarahSixPack.com is up for auction.
Tucson, November 3, 2009, PressReleasePoint - Former Alaska Governor and VP candidate Sarah Palin just pocketed $1.25 million for her memoirs, Goin’ Rogue. She re-entered national politics by endorsing New Jersey third-party gubernatorial candidate Doug Hoffman. And she’s debating Vice President Biden in the national media. Clearly, Palin, who warmly embraced the nickname “Sarah Six Pack” during the 2008 campaign, is preparing a conservative-backed run for the presidency in 2012.
Savvy political fundraisers or just plain Palin fans can now bid on the valuable and entirely memorable domain (web address) SarahSixPack.com. Offers (starting at $7,500) can be submitted as “comments” at the Domaineering blog, http://domaineering.wordpress.com. All comments will be private; they will not be posted publicly.
Mounting a national campaign costs plenty of money. In the 2008 presidential election, Obama spent $660 million; Hillary Clinton spent $249 just to get through the primaries; and Republican John McCain spent $238 million. (No wonder he lost!) Those numbers, from the Federal Election Commission, reflect only the cash raised by the candidates; millions more were spent by independent organizations on the candidates’ behalf.
Sarah Palin has been the darling of the nation’s conservative voters ever since she burst on the national political scene on August 29, 2008, the day presidential candidate John McCain introduced her as his surprise running mate. She was the first Alaskan and second woman to run on a major U.S. party ticket. In January 2009, Palin supporters created a political action committee, SarahPAC, to raise funds for her future political campaigning. The PAC had raised more than a million dollars by July. On July 26, she left the Alaskan governorship to devote her energies to national politics.
Anyone buying the domain http://www.SarahSixPack.com can transform that address into a major destination for Palin supporters, offering information, commentary and news about this fascinating political figure; or create a website to sell Palin merchandise and raise funds for her campaigns or causes.
