ST. LOUIS – The American Midwest Conference (AMC) announced its weekly outdoor Track and Field awards for the week ending April 2, 2017 on Monday afternoon. For the second time this season, the outdoor awards go to representatives of Columbia College and William Woods University. Seth Schenck of Columbia College was named the AMC Men's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week, and Ray Steele of William Woods earned his second AMC Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week honor of the season.

Schenck, a junior from New Haven, Mo., hit an NAIA "B" Standard in the 5,000-meter run at the Washington University Invitational, clocking in with a time of 14:53. He finished 17th in a field of a whopping 215 athletes.


Steele, a freshman from DeSoto, Mo., reached an NAIA "B" standard in the shot put at the John Creer Invitational. Steele finished second in the event, posting a throw of 15.33 meters

Josh Anim Anno – St. Louis College of Pharmacy


Anim Anno tied a STLCOP record in the 100-meter dash at the John Creer Invitational. He posted a time of 11.52 seconds, finishing 11th in the 50-runner field, in his first career collegiate outdoor meet.


Austin Ray – Columbia


Ray posted a pair of top-10 finishes at the John Creer Invitational, finishing sixth in the shotput and fourth in the discus.
