LONDON, April 11, 2014 - Vistaprint (Nasdaq : VPRT), Europe’s largest customised printing specialist, is opening its first office in the UK this summer, in order to get closer to customers and support growth in its largest EU market. The site, located in Kings Cross, London, will house an expanded UK Country Team responsible for marketing the company’s range of affordable and professional products and services that support micro business owners and consumers across the UK.

Founded by Robert Keane in 1995 with a unique business model, Vistaprint is now a global company employing over 4,600 people, operating more than 25 localised websites, and shipping to more than 130 countries around the world. Supported by proprietary technologies, high-volume production facilities, and marketing expertise, Vistaprint offers a wide range of products and services that micro businesses can use to start and grow their business. Vistaprint’s broad offering is easy to access online, 24 hours a day at www.vistaprint.co.uk

UK Vistaprint customers placed millions of orders in the company’s last full fiscal year (July 2012-June 2013), making the UK its second-largest revenue generating country in the world. Installing a locally-based Country Team will enable a stronger focus and understanding of these customers’ needs, whilst allowing Vistaprint to talk to UK businesses as a UK company.

Emily Shirley, Marketing Director at Vistaprint, is responsible for the ownership of country strategies and brand strategy in EU markets. Shirley comments: “We are very excited to be opening a fantastic new location in the UK, which is our largest EU market.  Vistaprint has already achieved great success here, but we believe that having a bricks and mortar presence will truly allow us to take our value proposition to a new level, by better understanding the needs of both existing and potential new customers.

“Vistaprint is a global company, but one that remains highly sensitive towards the different nuances and attitudes in all of our individual markets. As part of an overall strategy to have offices in key locales, our new London office demonstrates our commitment to creating better value for our UK customers and supporting UK small business by giving them access to affordable and professional marketing materials.”

Joining the UK Country Team at Vistaprint London will be further teams from a mix of functions including Analytics, Marketing Strategy and HR. The full, initial staff intake is expected to be in place in early July, comprising a mixture of new hires and transfers from other Vistaprint offices. A smaller, temporary office located opposite Regent’s Park became operational in early March to help lay the ground work for the main site.

Emma Winterson-Hayward, Vice-President Human Resources, Vistaprint added, “The search is on for talented marketing and e-commerce professionals to join our team as we grow our presence in the UK. London is a real hotbed for high calibre talent and the response to our job advertisements so far has been highly positive.

“Over the next few years we expect to further increase our employee numbers in London. In this regard we are keen to ensure that we can attract and retain the best quality talent to work at Vistaprint and we strive to offer competitive compensation and benefit programs in all of our locations.”
