About Cost and Purchase Management Consultant Peter Lawrence, the Auditel UK 2009 Franchisee of the year.

Winchester, U.K. 15 June 2010 (PressReleasePoint)

Following a successful sales-oriented career, which included fifteen years in IT, Peter Lawrence decided he wanted to work for himself. He chose the franchise route as being the safe option and joined Auditel, the leading cost and purchase management franchise, in 2002. He particularly liked the “virtual corporate” environment that Auditel provided and his experience was well suited to the energy and communications marketplace. “I was impressed with the courtesy and transparency of the company from my first enquiry to actually signing the franchise agreement. The quality of the initial and on-going training and support is excellent. There are comprehensive manuals, a company intranet, local and regional meetings, annual conferences, and association with over one hundred and seventy like-minded colleagues. Everything is to hand to build a profitable and enjoyable business.”

Peter has been very successful in acquiring and servicing clients, as well as working on joint ventures with his colleagues – a hallmark of the Auditel franchise. He has achieved successful assignments with many different types of clients - independent schools, charities, accountants, retail chains, nurseries, distribution, NHS hospital manufacturing and servicing, insurance, and barristers’ chambers.

In 2007, Peter was awarded the ‘Auditel Award for Excellence’ for his hard work in building a successful all-round business and for the unstinting way in which he shares information with his fellow Affiliates seeking help. In 2009, he was named as ‘The Auditel Franchisee of the Year’, the highest award in the network.

Peter is an active participant in Auditel network life, including membership of their Franchise Advisory Council, which acts as a focal point for his fellow franchises and the Auditel management team. He is also a Regional Principal and helps to co-ordinate policy between his area and Head Office. He has now acquired a villa in Turkey, which he and his family are thoroughly enjoying. When asked: ‘Looking back, was it the right decision after all?’ Peter replied: “Yes, absolutely!”

About Auditel Franchise:

The Auditel concept was developed on the premise that all organisations pay for essential services. Utilities and telecommunications are two of those costs and when many essential service sectors underwent deregulation in 1991 it opened up these industries to competition. UK companies could shop around for the best prices from new providers entering the market.
The ever changing range of services available meant that many organisations did not know where or how to identify savings.
The major problem is that few organisations have enough time and resources to track every invoice, question every charge and ensure quality of service from each supplier.
In 1994 Auditel was launched to offer a solution, a cost and purchase management consultancy that could focus independently on the essential services to cut through the confusion that UK businesses were facing.
Since this time Auditel has been training professionals into self employment and is now the leading cost and purchase management franchise.
