SECOND ELEVEN: Sussex beaten in Trophy clash at Northants

Sussex’s Second Eleven were comfortably beaten on Monday in their 2nd XI Trophy match with Northamptonshire, at Desborough Town CC.

Having been inserted to bat, Sussex were dismissed for 159 as Fynn Hudson-Prentice (pictured) top-scored with an unbeaten 44. Will Vanderspar, a guest player from the MCC, made 33 whilst Callum Jackson hit 29.

In reply the hosts needed only 27.4 overs to win the match as they reached their target for the loss of three wickets, with Chris Liddle taking all three scalps.
