Secretary General Meets with Leaders of Central America at SICA Summit

The Secretary General of the Organization of American States (OAS), José Miguel Insulza, met today with the Presidents of Panama, Ricardo Martinelli; Honduras, Juan Orlando Hernández; and Guatemala, Otto Pérez Molina, in the context of the XLIII Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Central American Integration System (SICA) in the Dominican Republic.

The OAS leader spoke with the Central American leaders about the cooperation of their countries and the OAS, the preparations for the next General Assembly of the Organization, and the regional political context.

On Thursday, Secretary General Insulza met with the President of the Dominican Republic, Danilo Medina, as well as the Dominican Foreign Minister Carlos Morales Troncoso.
