LOS ANGELES (November 10, 2011) – Leading law firm Seyfarth Shaw LLP is pleased to announce that James Clough has joined the downtown Los Angeles office of the firm as a partner in the Corporate Department.

With more than 32 years experience, Clough has worked extensively in mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital and capital markets transactions. He also has significant experience in the areas of finance and restructurings, and he advises clients on corporate governance; California, New York and Delaware corporate and commercial law; and federal and state securities laws. Clough previously worked in the corporate and securities practice of the Southern California law firm Rutan & Tucker LLP, and for many years he was a corporate partner with Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP.

Clough received his undergraduate degree from Siena College, his law degree from Albany Law School of Union University and his master of laws degree in corporate law from New York University. Clough is a member of the California and New York bars.
