SGS improves the design of its product certification marks
SGS unveiled an improved design for its product certification marks primarily for those companies manufacturing and selling consumer goods.
The new SGS certification design is effective as of May 3, 2010 and applies to SGS product certification (http://www.ee.sgs.com/ee_index/certificates_for_pr...). Previous designs remain valid until the end of 2015. The high standard of the SGS certification process remains the same, this is simply an updated design for the product certification mark.
The new design clearly demonstrates a customer’s commitment to quality and safety in the shape of the letter ‘Q’ encircling the letters ‘SGS’ which is accompanied by various symbols for product certification standards. Implementation of this new strongly branded SGS mark is straightforward and cost efficient. As the world’s leading inspection, verification, testing and certification company, SGS is uniquely positioned to deliver a certification mark that is trusted around the world and that will open up markets and new opportunities for consumer goods.
“The new design of the mark addresses the evolving needs of the market. The mark will be more visible, even when reduced to its minimum size and placed on consumer products. At the same time, it communicates the value and prestige of acquiring SGS certification,” said Chris Kirk, CEO of SGS.
