Shri. Narendra Baldota elected as Chairman of Jain International Trade Organization (JITO)
The New Board of Directors of JITO, in their first meeting held on 26th December, 2010, at Mumbai, unanimously elected Shri Narendrakumar A. Baldota as the Chairman of JITO.
The New Board of Directors of JITO, in their first meeting held on 26th December, 2010, at Mumbai, unanimously elected Shri Narendrakumar A. Baldota as the Chairman of JITO.
As the new Chairman, Shri Baldota brings with him rich experience of managing Baldota Group of companies with diversified business interests like Mining, Wind Power, Industrial Gases, and Steel, to name a few. This experience shall help the organization reach out to more people across the nation and take the mantle of JITO further.
The Board reviewed the working of the ongoing projects of JITO and assured their continuance with a new thrust. In particular, the Board suggested special emphasis on their most popular programs like JITO Education Loan program and JITO Employment Assistance program. These programs empower the Jain youth to integrate themselves in the emerging economy of the nation.
Other ongoing projects of JITO:
a) Shraman Arogyam provides medical assistance to Jain Sadhus and Sadhvis across India
b) JITO Administrative Foundation enables youth to prepare for competitive civil exams
c) Preparation of JITO directory of Jain establishments engaged in trade, commerce, industry as well as services.
5th Global Summit of JITO in Jan 2011
In his address, Mr. Baldota stated that JITO would organize the 5th Global Summit, a popular 3-day Triple Event of JITO in Chennai, which would be held on 14th, 15th and 16th January, 2011. The 5th Global Summit would include:
• JITO Conclave to be held on 14th January, 2011, which would review the working of its projects/Projects, as well as activities of various JITO Chapters and Zones.
• International Conference of Jain Businessmen, Industrialists & Professionals on 15th & 16th Jan’11. The inaugural session would be held on 15th January, 2011 which would discuss, among other things, “Ensuring Sustainability of Family Businesses” and announce the launch of “Sapnon ke Saudagar” program on 16th January, 2011. This program, with assistance of leading Consultants would identify deserving young talents and provide financial, as well as logistic support to incept new businesses. This would be followed by a Conference of Jain International Women Organisation (JIWO).
As a part of the Global Summit, a Trade Fair and a Jain Pavillion shall be organised on 14th to 16th Jan’11. The Trade Fair would have stalls by Jain businessmen engaged in different Trades and also exhibit Jain Paintings, iconography, scriptures and heritage.
