Interactive Case Study Session Will Discuss Automation Techniques and Resulting ROI for Finance in a SAP® Environment

Dallas, TX - March 17, 2014

Trintech, a leading global provider of integrated software solutions for the Last Mile of Finance™, announced today that it is a silver-level sponsor of Financials 2014 being held on March 18 – 21, 2014 at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin, in Orlando, FL. The 4-day conference delivers important educational sessions, workshops, how-to clinics and roundtables for teams that use, evaluate, deploy, and support SAP® applications functionality for financial accounting, control, planning, consolidation, closings and reporting.

Trintech’s customer, Siemens, a $75B global powerhouse in electrical engineering and electronics, will present a case study session during the program entitled “How Siemens Streamlined its Financial Close Process through Automation.” The session will be held on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 from 2:30 – 3:45 p.m. ET, and is open to all conference attendees.

The presentation discusses best practices for automating account reconciliations, journal entry and other portions of the financial close process in a SAP-based applications environment, and the key challenges and benefits to consider when doing so. Featuring Karen Talley, North American Global Shared Services Accounting Manager with Siemens, and Aaron Veach, Director of Product Experience with Trintech, the presentation will highlight:

  • How Siemens leverages record-to-report (R2R) technologies to complement its investment in SAP applications
  • Why managing reconciliations using Excel spreadsheets was risky and error-prone
  • Where automation has dramatically reduced the effort and cost of the financial close process
  • Best practices and the lessons learned during Siemens’ solution rollout
  • The ROI of finance automation at Siemens and how it can be applied to other SAP customers

Throughout the event, Trintech will be highlighting its financial governance solutions that are SAP Certified for Integration with SAP Applications. Each is focused on solving the risk, resource and cost challenges normally associated with the entire record-to-report process. Cadency® manages all aspects of the financial close – including automating balance sheet reconciliation, journal entries, governance and compliance, and financial reporting, including XBRL tagging. ReconNET™ streamlines high volume reconciliations such as bank and credit card transactions. The Trintech team will be highlighting how its solutions complement SAP technologies in the exhibit hall in booth #730. For more information about the conference please visit
