Expanding its distribution of eBooks, Signalman Publishing has signed an agreement with Kobo to distribute eBooks through Kobo's global eBook retail platform.

Orlando, FL, March 17, 2010 (PressReleasePoint) -- Signalman Publishing, a provider of eBooks for the Amazon Kindle eReader, announced it has signed an agreement with Kobo (www.kobobooks.com), a global retailer of eBooks, to distribute Signalman’s library of eBooks using the Kobo platform. Signalman’s first book to be published through Kobo is "The Goat of God" by award winning author Eugene Elander.

"The Goat of God", an historical based novel, tells the story of the original scapegoat, chosen to bear the sins of the Hebrew people at the very first Day of Atonement in the Sinai Desert as described in Leviticus, Chapter 16. The protagonist in the story, Zael, is changed from goat to human in order to bear those sins, finds that he cannot die while still bearing them, and is then tasked to record the Old Testament.

"We are very excited to have the opportunity to distribute our books through Kobo and 'The Goat of God' is the perfect debut book for this effort," stated John McClure, president of Signalman Publishing. "This inspirational work of Christian historical-based fiction has been available for the Kindle, but until now, readers using the Kobo application on their smartphones and Sony eReader have not been able to access this book or any of our other books. Our customers want our books available to them using any eReader device anywhere and Kobo is the perfect way to make that happen," McClure continued.

The Kobo application uses the open eBook standard known as epub. This application is available on smartphones such as the Apple iphone and the Blackberry along with the Sony eReader. The Kobo app will also be available on the forthcoming Apple iPad.
