Signature Yacht Charters (SYC) is proud to announce the raising of $3600.00 for local charity Children’s Home Society of Florida (CHS), the largest fundrasier to date in honor of the local charity.

DESTIN, FL (April 11, 2011) – Signature Yacht Charters (SYC) is proud to announce the raising of $3600.00 for local charity Children’s Home Society of Florida (CHS). The event was held in Sunday, April 10, in Pensacola and marked the largest fundraiser to date for the organization.
Signatures Yacht Charters was pleased to donate two of its yachts for the auctions which were to be used to enable children of CHS an opportunity to learn how to fish with a real fishing and boating expert, Captain Matt Condon, also CEO of SYC. Ultimately 12 bidders submitted bids totaling $3600.00, affording 12 children the opportunity to go on the fishing trip.
“We take fishing for granted because our dads taught us as young boys, but these children don’t have that luxury,” said Condon. “It’s not about charity to us; it’s more about rewarding these children with an opportunity that will last a lifetime.”
Established in 1902, CHS is one of Florida’s oldest private not-for-profit organizations providing services to children and families. CHS delivers a unique spectrum of social services designed to protect children at risk of abuse, neglect or abandonment; to strengthen and stabilize families; to help young people break the cycle of abuse and neglect; and to find safe, loving homes for children. Every year, CHS helps to improve the lives of about 100,000 children and family members.

This is SYC’s fourth year of involvement with CHS. SYC is very active in the community, donating its time and 10% of their yacht usage to several local non-profits including the Junior League of the Emerald Coast.
