Team My Share from Signature Yacht Charters Places Third at 2011 Emerald Coast Blue Marlin Classic

DESTIN, FL (July 6, 2011) – Signature Yacht Charters (SYC) is proud to announce the third place finish of their team, My Share, at the 2011 Emerald Coast Blue Marlin Classic (ECBC). The tournament was held from July 21-26 at the Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort and attracted top fishermen from around the world, some as far away as Africa, Costa Rica, Mexico and Spain.

Team My Share consisted of Richard Watkins of Atlanta, GA; Justin Fritz of Destin, FL; Devin Sanderson of St. Petersburg, FL; and Capt. Matt Condon of Destin, FL. Team My Share was aboard Signature Yacht Charters' 32' Regulator and took home the award in the wahoo division. Signature Yacht Charters is a division of Galati Yachts whose Team Galati took home the first place prize.

"We may have been the smallest boat in the fleet but our team has a big heart. We stayed focused on fishing for wahoo knowing that the big boys were in pursuit of marlin and it paid off for us!" said Capt. Matt Condon.

Ranked as one of the Top 10 Big Money Tournaments in the world, the Emerald Coast Blue Marlin Classic is the fastest growing fishing tournament on the Gulf Coast of Florida. The competition, hosted every June by the Sandestin® Golf and Beach Resort, takes place in one of the most productive fisheries in the United States. Shawna Meisner, Tournament Director, reports that this year’s tournament topped the $1.4million dollar mark in prize money for 2011, further establishing this event as one of the finest in the world.
