Matthew Baron, Principal, Simon Development Group, will present at Golden Networking's Distressed Investing Experts Forum 2010, "Analyzing and Valuing Distressed Companies, Securities and Real Estate" (http://www.DistressedInvestingExpertsForum.com), September 21st, 2010, New York City. Mr. Baron will provide his insights at panel on "Finding the Best Opportunities in Distressed Real Estate Investing".

Mr. Baron was previously a Vice President at Pergolis Swartz Associates where he was involved in both sourcing and structuring debt and equity for real estate related transactions. Mr. Baron has substantial experience in the financial valuation and structuring of real estate transactions and has worked on transactions across a broad range of property types including multi-family, office, hospitality, commercial and industrial. In addition, Mr. Baron has raised capital for traditional lending institutions, as well as for private funds.
Prior to Pergolis Swartz, Mr. Baron worked with former President Bill Clinton, where he was a member of the consulting team for the Harlem Small Business Initiative. In addition, Mr. Baron was also given the honor of working with the former President on the editing of his autobiography entitled, "My Life".
Mr. Baron is also an Adjunct Lecturer at New York University’s School of Continuing and Professional Studies where he teaches courses such as Real Estate Development and Real Estate Finance. He was also formerly a member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) where he served on both the ULI Membership Committee as well as the ULI Program Committee. Mr. Baron graduated with a B.S. in Finance from New York University’s Stern School of Business and an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School. Mr. Baron lives in New York City with his wife and two children.
