Global ATI technology leader wins award a second consecutive year
Nairobi, May 13, 2014 -(PressReleasePoint)- The African Airlines Association (AFRAA) has named air transport IT specialist, SITA, the Aviation ICT Service Provider of the Year for the second year running.
The Aviation Suppliers and Stakeholders Award recognizes excellence in service delivery, innovation and competitiveness among the best service providers to the African aviation industry. SITA was selected ahead of the many other entrants because of its community initiatives and consistent support for the African air transport industry, in addition to providing innovative, cutting-edge technology.

AFRAA is the trade association of airlines from the African Union member states. Its primary purpose is to foster commercial and technical co-operation among African airlines, while representing their common interests.

AFRAA and SITA have initiated many joint projects over the years to help drive down costs and help African airlines benefit from IATA's Simplifying the Business initiatives, including the migration to e-ticketing.
