[29 August 2014] Wireless services leader Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) recently launched the Smart Sulit IDD Card, a new offer that gives Smart Prepaid subscribers a much simpler and more affordable way to contact loved ones abroad for as low as Php2.50 per minute.

Wireless services leader Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) recently launched the Smart Sulit IDD Card, a new offer that gives Smart Prepaid subscribers a much simpler and more affordable way to contact loved ones abroad for as low as Php2.50 per minute.

The user-friendly Smart Sulit IDD card is like a separate wallet on top of the subscriber’s regular load. Once loaded up, it can be used to immediately call international numbers without any prefixes or additional steps, and without a required maintaining regular load balance.

Convenience and peace of mind

“The importance of having an open line of communication to our loved ones abroad cannot be stressed enough,” said Ruth Ritumalta, Senior Manager for Smart International Services. “With  Smart Sulit IDD, Filipinos do not only enjoy affordable rates but also the convenience and peace of mind of being able to stay in touch with their relatives and friends overseas on a regular basis,” she added.

Available in denominations of P50, P100 and P500, the Smart Sulit IDD card may be loaded up on one’s mobile phone by sending <LOAD><SPACE><CARD PIN> to 1510.

To make a call using the Smart Sulit IDD card, Smart Prepaid subscribers just simply dial 00 + country code + area code + phone number.

IDD calls for as low as P2.50 per minute

The card offers a very low rate of P2.50 per minute for calls made to relatives in the United States, Canada, Guam, Hawaii and Hong Kong. It may also be used to call relatives in Brunei, China, Macau, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea and Taiwan for only P5 per minute.

On the other hand, calls made to Australia, Bahrain, India, Italy, Japan, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Thailand, United Arab Emirates and the United Kingdom are charged P8 per minute, while calls made to all the other countries not mentioned above are charged a flat rate of $0.40 per minute.

Free balance notification

Keeping tabs on one’s balance to know how long a conversation can be extended is also as simple as texting ?1515 to 214 for free. A message will arrive shortly, indicating the available Smart Sulit IDD balance for free.

Smart Sulit IDD 50, 100 and 500 are valid for 15 days, 30 days and 90 days, respectively.
