- SMSC (NASDAQ: SMSC) today announced that it has filed its Annual Report for the fiscal year ended February 28, 2009 with the Securities Exchange Commission ("the SEC").

The Annual Report, including SMSC's Annual Report on Form 10-K for the fiscal year ended February 28, 2009, audited financial statements, and SMSC's 2009 Proxy Statement, can be found on the Investor Relations section of SMSC's website atwww.smsc.com. In addition, the Form 10-K is available for viewing at the SEC website atwww.sec.gov.

In accordance with SEC rules, the Company is mailing to its record and beneficial shareholders a Notice of Internet Availability of Proxy Materials prior to the Annual Meeting, which contains instructions on how to access the Company's proxy materials over the Internet and vote online.
