SOA Software Appoints former IBM Chief Strategist as VP Technology

Brings Deep Background in SOA Architecture and Enterprise Solutions

Los Angeles, CA. – September 20, 2011–  SOA Software, a leading provider ofSOA governance, cloud and API Management products, has appointed Corey Scobie to the position of Vice President Technology, the company announced today.  Scobie, who has been a leader in the IT industry with roles ranging from software development to SOA portfolio strategy, will become part of SOA Software’s senior technology development group.  At SOA Software, Scobie will be involved in SOA Governance, partner activities and the company’s growing API management product line.

Mr. Scobie was most recently Chief Strategist for IBM’s Appliance and Application Optimization businesses. Prior to that, Mr. Scobie held the role of Technical Executive for the WebSphere DataPower Appliances business at IBM. He was one of the original members of the DataPower team that joined IBM through acquisition in 2005.  Prior to joining IBM/DataPower, Mr. Scobie held key technical and strategic positions with several software startups in both North America and Europe in the areas of business software, integration and mobile application development.
