Socle Technology Now Offers Arteris FlexNoC Platform
Design and implementation services leader utilizes Arteris’ silicon-proven network-on-chip (NoC) technology to enable world-class performance for customers
SUNNYVALE, California — February 26, 2013 —Arteris Inc., the inventor and only supplier of silicon-proven commercial network-on-chip (NoC) interconnect IP solutions, today announced that Socle Technology Corp. has licensed the Arteris® FlexNoC® interconnect IP for its internal technology platforms and will provide design and implementation services for high-end SoC design customers.

“Our customers require the latest, most advanced technology and the Arteris FlexNoC interconnect IP is a necessary addition to our portfolio.”
Stone Peng, President and CEO, Socle Technology
Socle Technology, a design affiliate of GLOBALFOUNDRIES, offers leading-edge design and implementation services, enabling its customers to overcome obstacles in ultra-deep submicron SoC design. Socle taped out its first 28nm ASIC design using GLOBALFOUNDRIES’ 28nm super low power technology (SLP) with Gate First High-K Metal Gate (HKMG) in 2012. The Arteris FlexNoC fabric IP platform enables higher interconnect frequencies, solves routing congestion and provides faster time-to-market for Socle’s customers.
“Our customers require the latest, most advanced technology and the Arteris FlexNoC interconnect IP is a necessary addition to our portfolio,” said Stone Peng, president and CEO of Socle Technology. “Acquiring the FlexNoC license strengthens our technology platform and design services offerings, and provides our customers with more options to future-proof their solutions.”
“Arteris is very pleased to add Socle Technology as one of our design partners,” said K. Charles Janac, President and CEO of Arteris. “Having a member of the GLOBALFOUNDRIES family offering our NoC interconnect IP will certainly benefit customers with bandwidth-critical applications who want to advance to next generation technology.”
