DNCR Adverse Weather Closings - Updated January 5

North Carolina Museum of Art

North Carolina Museum of Art has canceled the movie/music combo event scheduled for tomorrow, January 6. The event has been rescheduled to April 14. Details on the event are below:

Friday, April 14, 7:30 pm (new date)

East Building, SECU Auditorium

$10 Members, youth 7–18, college students with ID; $15 All others

The North Carolina Zoo

The North Carolina Zoo in Asheboro will be closed on Saturday and Sunday, January 7 and 8, due to the forecast of snow and freezing temperatures. The Zoo takes great pride in the safety and welfare of its animals and guests alike. The protection from the elements of all 1,600 animals is a top priority. 

As a result of potential snow and freezing temperatures, several DNCR parks, historic sites, museums and other venues may operate on different schedules.
