Sourcefire Expands Global Partner Initiatives with New Vice President of Worldwide Channel Sales

Security Industry Veteran Chris Peterson to Lead Company's Indirect Sales Initiatives
Open source innovator and Snort® creator, Sourcefire, Inc. (Nasdaq: FIRE), a leader in Cybersecurity, today announced that the company is further increasing its focus on expansion of its indirect global sales channel with the addition of industry veteran Chris Peterson as Vice President of Worldwide Channel Sales.

Peterson is chartered with expanding Sourcefire’s global channel presence, leveraging strategic relationships within key regions, including the US, EMEA, Asia Pacific and Latin America. Peterson, who previously oversaw global channel initiatives for ArcSight (Nasdaq: ARST), Secure Computing and Network Associates (McAfee, NYSE: MFE), will have overall responsibility for Sourcefire’s worldwide channel strategy, programs and the introduction of new initiatives to further drive channel sales.

Peterson has more than 20 years of experience in sales management, channel marketing, professional services and customer support. He has successfully designed and executed worldwide channel strategies and partner programs for security companies, contributing to significant organizational growth. Most recently, Peterson worked as the Vice President of Worldwide Alliance and Channel Sales at ArcSight where he directed all aspects of the global channels and alliances, emphasizing business development and growth.
