Sourcefire Named to Deloitte Technology Fast 500 List for Third Consecutive Year
National Award Recognizes the Fastest Growing Companies in North America
Sourcefire, Inc. (Nasdaq:FIRE), a leader in Cybersecurity, today announced that the company has been selected for the third consecutive year to the Deloitte Technology Fast 500, this year ranking 348. The Deloitte Fast 500 program lists the fastest growing technology, media, telecommunications, life sciences and clean technology companies in North America based on their percentage revenue growth over a five-year period.
Sourcefire(R) achieved its ranking on this year's Deloitte Technology Fast 500 based on its 353 percent growth from 2004 through 2008. Companies named to the list must own proprietary intellectual property or proprietary technology that contributes to a significant portion of the company's operating revenues. In addition, companies must be headquartered in North America and have at least $50,000 in operating revenue in 2004 and at least $5 million in operating revenue in 2008.
