Sourcefire Names Cybersecurity Industry Veteran as Senior Vice President of Marketing

Gregory Fitzgerald, Senior VIce President of Marketing, Chartered with Strengthening Sourcefire's Global Branding

Sourcefire, Inc. (Nasdaq:FIRE), a leader in intelligent Cybersecurity solutions, today announced that it has named Gregory Fitzgerald as its new Senior Vice President of Marketing, overseeing the company's worldwide positioning, product delivery and go-to-market strategies.

Fitzgerald is a 18-year marketing veteran in the security, networking, wireless and systems management arenas. He joins Sourcefire from DisplayPoints, a privately held new media company, where he was CEO and sold for a profit in September 2009. Prior to DisplayPoints, Fitzgerald was Global Vice President of Marketing, Channels and Inside Sales at TippingPoint, a division of 3Com, during that company's period of accelerated growth.

Now overseeing Sourcefire's strategic global marketing initiatives, Fitzgerald will implement programs designed to reinforce the company's technology innovation, channel success and worldwide recognition.

Previously, Fitzgerald was Vice President of Marketing for a growth-stage venture, Traq-wireless, in wireless management software and services. Before Traq, he was the Director of Worldwide Solutions Marketing at BMC Software, a leading provider of enterprise management solutions.

Fitzgerald holds a BBA in Marketing and Finance from Emory University, a MBA in Product Marketing from the University of Colorado, and a MIM in International Marketing Strategy from Thunderbird, The American Graduate School of International Management.
