Southwest Airlines Celebrates Inaugural International Service To Mexico With Special Event At John Wayne Airport

Southwest Airlines (NYSE: LUV) launches inaugural service to Mexico with a news conference and Mexican-themed celebration at John Wayne Airport.  The carrier's first-ever scheduled flight from California to Mexico will depart for San Jose del Cabo/Los Cabos at Noon.

Southwest Airlines began service from Orange County in May of 1994, with 15 flights to two cities:  Oakland and largest aSan Jose.
