Former Cisco Executive Hired to Lead Spanlinks Cisco Sales Practice Spanlink Communications today announced that Roxann Swanson has joined the company as vice president of sales

MINNEAPOLIS March 11, 2010 Spanlink Communications today announced that Roxann Swanson has joined the company as vice president of sales. In her new role, effective March 22, Swanson will oversee the sales organization of Spanlinks Cisco practice. She will report to Spanlink President and CEO Scott Christian and is based in Dallas.

Swanson has more than 25 years experience in the telecommunications and contact center industry. She comes to Spanlink after serving as vice president of contact center sales for Cisco. During her tenure at Cisco, Swanson grew overall contact center sales by 20 percent year over year. In addition, she played an integral role in driving Ciscos contact center market share from fourth to second.

Prior to Cisco, Swanson was the vice president and general manager of enterprise multimedia applications at Nortel. In this role she had global responsibility for Nortel's contact center, self-service IVR and advanced speech applications, unified messaging and voice mail, and multimedia application server portfolios. She oversaw research and development, product management, marketing, product delivery and professional services of these solutions. In 2005, Swanson was honored by Frost & Sullivan for her outstanding leadership in the enterprise applications industry and was named Enterprise Applications Executive of the Year. Earlier in her career, Swanson held executive and managerial positions with AT&T.
