Spies are required to think on their feet when it comes to holding items. They must be able to be resourceful and transform a seemingly innocent, every day object into a safe hiding location. A new invention from Anderson Heating and Cooling may be able to help spies during their time of need.
Anderson Heating and Cooling has come up with a tankless water heater that doubles as a storage unit, safe, or hiding location for precious items. The idea came to founder, Tommy Anderson, while watching a spy movie.
"I thought what would a modern day spy need if he were to be running around Seattle", said Tommy Anderson. "I looked over at the tankless water heater that I had in my house, and it came to me that it would be an awesome place to hide things."
A tankless water heater looks like a small rectangular compartment. It is designed to heat up water without requiring a huge tank. People often choose this type of unit in homes or apartments where space is limited.
"I thought if I could design a tankless water heater that could double as something extra it would encourage people to purchase them and use them in their homes", said Anderson. "It took a while but we perfected it."
The unit that Anderson designed can be used for both heating water and storing items. It looks like a regular tankless water heater, but it contains several small shelves and other units inside.
"People can walk right by it and not even know that it's hiding something valuable or important", said Anderson. "That is really cool and so spy-like."
Anderson has received several requests for the item from spy enthusiasts. They like the idea of having a small safe in their house that doubles as a water heater. This allows them to store valuable and other important items without worrying about not having hot water.
"I didn't realize how much I needed this item", said Todd Underhill. "I love spy movies and secretly think I'm a spy. This invention was something that I needed. When people see it, they know it's something that is special and rare. I just love it."
Anderson Heating and Cooling plans on creating several other tankless water heaters. These water heaters will come in different sizes and shapes that allow them to blend in with the surrounding décor of the house.
