TOLEDO, Ohio, USA - June 11, 2009 -Tony Damon, CEO of SSOE Inc., recently announced the appointment of Rob Benedetti as the new business director for SSOE's Shanghai, China office. SSOE, an international EPCM firm, maintains a solid global presence, having completed projects in more than 30 countries. The Shanghai office is SSOE's second largest, with 125 employees.

Benedetti manages all aspects of SSOE's Shanghai business development, sales, and marketing activities. He shares the view of the hundreds of foreign companies doing business in China. "My enthusiasm for the Chinese market is one that is shared by a number of companies doing business there. In fact, most foreign-invested manufacturers are optimistic about the long-term success of their operations in China. Many companies are using the current economic crisis - which has reduced exports in China - as an opportunity to redirect efforts to the long-term strategy of serving China's domestic market."

According to Benedetti, SSOE's expertise in industrial process environments will continue to serve as an impetus for the Shanghai's office success. "Given SSOE's longstanding experience in industrial process environments and its understanding of how to overcome implementation challenges in China, we are a valuable resource for clients wanting to enhance their productivity and profitability in China and throughout Asia," Benedetti said.

Damon called Benedetti's business expertise in Shanghai a boost to SSOE's business initiatives in China. "Rob's commitment to the Shanghai business community is an invaluable asset for SSOE. His position as Chair of the Design and Construction committee for the Shanghai arm of the USA Chamber of Commerce (Amcham-Shanghai) gives SSOE a considerable advantage." Damon said.

In addition to his work on Amcham's committees, Benedetti serves in the organization's elite Ambassador Program, where he is dispatched to attend U.S. or Chinese-sponsored government events, representing Amcham when its President or Board of Governors is unable. He also belongs to the Shanghai chapter of the global real-estate organization CoreNet Global, and maintains an affiliation with the Shanghai arm of International Facilities Management Association.

Before coming to SSOE in Shanghai, Benedetti spent more than twenty years in Los Angeles, working in sales and marketing for the Liebert Corporation and Heery International. Benedetti is a graduate of The Ohio State University and lives in Shanghai with his wife and daughter.
