A Star on Midsomer Murders - Handel Pianos

Handel Pianos Ltd, one of the UK’s largest suppliers of restored and second hand pianos, played a vital role in the Midsomer Murders 2013 Christmas special which was screened on ITV 1 on 24thDecember, 2013.


HandelPianos Shop, which is based in Sunningdale(Berkshire), supplied the piano, which was used by the singing teacher during the 89-minute long episode. The type of piano supplied was a Broadwood upright and it was made available to the Midsomer Murders production company, Bentley Productions.
Midsomer Murders is one of the ITV’s flagship productions and since the retirement in early 2011 of John Nettles, OBE, as DCI Tom Barnaby, the lead role has been taken by actor Neil Dudgeon, who plays DCI John Barnaby. He is supported by Gwilym Lee as DS Charlie Nelson.

Handel Pianos has supplied a number of pianos for television dramas. It has also recently supplied a piano for a major Hollywood movie, which is due to be screened this year.
