General Electric, a truly household name, a company where the best possible professionals in a combination with the best technologies are taking on the toughest challenges, has picked Steel Space for its new promotional campaign.

The General Electric Garages, were created, using Steel Space’s help, to allow visitors to observe and participate in the act of making things, invention and discovery, supported by modern tools and technologies such as laser cutters, injection molders and 3D printers.

Using a Steel Space 10 unit at Virginia Tech and 2 Steel Space 20 units in Boston, GE created a unique environment for finding solutions in energy, health and home, transportation and finance. Building, powering, moving and curing the world. It is important statement that GE wants to put trough that it not only imagines new concepts, but that it also is ready to test them and to put them to practice.

Steel Space with its professionalism was there to help create these manufacturing co-labs that celebrate technologists, entrepreneurs and everyday people with a one-of-a kind opportunity to discover modern prototyping and manufacturing processes, collaborate in hands-on workshops, participate in specialized manufacturing training and education, and learn from guest speakers. Ultimately, the Steel Space’s units had become labs where innovation is encouraged through high tech tools and curated merchandise.
