Steve Mirante has been promoted to Executive Vice President, Human Resources, CBS Corporation, it was announced today by Anthony Ambrosio, the Company’s Chief Human Resources Officer and Chief Administration Officer. Mirante will continue his current oversight of human resource “specialty” functions including compensation, benefits and human resources information systems, and now, in this expanded role, will work with Ambrosio to manage the day-to-day human resource “generalist” responsibilities with each of CBS’s business units.
“Steve has always been a great resource for employees and a terrific executive for CBS,” said Ambrosio. “He is highly disciplined, organized and effective, and at the same time compassionate. It’s that combination that has distinguished his nine years with our company and made him a natural choice for this position. I’m confident he will continue to excel, and I look forward to having him by my side in this expanded role.”
