STMicroelectronics Announces Timing for 3rd Quarter 2010 Earnings Release and Conference Call

Geneva, October 6, 2010–STMicroelectronics (NYSE: STM)announced that it will release third quarter 2010 earnings after the close of trading on the New York Stock Exchange on October 26, 2010.

The press release will be available immediately after the release on the Company’s website atwww.st.com.

The management of STMicroelectronics will conduct a conference call on October 27, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. U.S. Eastern Time / 3:00 p.m. CET, to discuss performance for the third quarter of 2010.

The conference call will be available via the Internet by accessing the following Web address:http://investors.st.com. Those accessing the webcast should go to the Web site at least 15 minutes prior to the call, in order to register, download and install any necessary audio software. The webcast will be available until November 5, 2010.
