"I wanted to create a place where girls could really excel and be themselves", said Young. "Girls Galore offers teen girls the place they need to do just that. We have discussion forums, social media websites, and fun girl games online. There really is something for everyone."

One of the major features that sets Girls Galore apart from the other websites is the amount of girl games online that are offered. The website features over 100 different games that are designed specifically with teen girls in mind.

"These games were created for girls", said Young. "We worked with researchers and other individuals to create the games that these girls would want to see. We also worked with them to create something that was education, yet fun. It's all about learning."

The reaction to the website has been overwhelming. It has been up and running for a little over six months and it already has 200,000 members.

"We think one of the things that makes our site so popular is the fact we verify every member who joins", said Young. "We do this to prevent adults and predators from using the site. We verify every member who joins and make sure they are who they say they are."

Another benefit of the website is the fact that it encourages girls to be just who they are. Many of the girls who visit the site say they feel they have a safe haven to talk and discuss whatever they want to on the website.

"I never felt comfortable talking about my hopes and dreams with my friends", said Holly Higgins. "I found Girls Galore to be a perfect place that encourages me to talk about wanting to become a dancer or a writer. Everyone is so supportive. I love it here."
