Stuart Walker Photography Granted Licentiateship Status

Glasgow based wedding photographer Stuart Walker has been confirmed as a Licientiate of the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers (SWPP).

Glasgow, 19th March 2010. Following a submission of twenty wedding images to the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers (SWPP), the licentiate qualification was awarded to Stuart Walker. The photographic panel was assessed independently for quality and style by three judges – all leading figures in the photography profession. The images were taken at several wedding venues in Scotland during 2009, including the Royal College of Physicians building in Edinburgh and Park Circus Registry Office in Glasgow. Twelve couples were featured in the image panel which showed a variety of photographic techniques to capture key moments of the wedding ceremony and subsequent celebrations.

The SWPP is a UK based organisation that encourages development and standards in the international photographic profession. According to the SWPP, the licentiate qualification offers clients an assurance of professional competence and demonstrates the photographer's commitment to ongoing training and development.
