Studley's Thomas Fulcher, David Lipson, Art Greenberg Named "Top Brokers" by National Industry Magazine

Washington, DC(June 19, 2009) - International commercial real estate services firm Studley is pleased to announce that Real Estate Forum magazine has selected Executive Vice Presidents Thomas Fulcher, David Lipson and Art Greenberg of the Washington, DC office as “Top Brokers” for 2009.

Each year, the magazine compiles a list of the industry’s top commercial real estate brokers based on hundreds of submissions. Nominees are selected based on the total number, square footage and dollar value of completed transactions for the period between March 2008 and March 2009.

During that time frame, the team completed 65 lease transactions for a total of an astounding 2.7 million square feet, totaling an estimated $1.3 billion.  One of their most notable transactions included representing Arent Fox, LLP in signing a lease in 2008 for 255,000 square feet at 1000 Connecticut Avenue, NW, to which the firm won’t relocate until 2013.  The site of the new building, arguably one of the best sites in Washington, will sit vacant until construction begins.

The trio, which has worked together at Studley for more than twenty years, was involved in several other notable transactions last year for clients such as National Public Radio (NPR) and the United States Department of Justice, both of which received the Transaction of the Year” awards from the Greater Washington Association of Commercial Realtors.

Their work on behalf of NPR also received the prestigious “Deal of the Year” award from the Washington Business Journal   Studley represented NPR in the sale/leaseback of National Public Radio’s (NPR) headquarters and the acquisition of a new headquarters site at 1111 North Capitol St. NW.
