Scientists keen to join the debate around the future of global livestock science, innovation and production are being invited to make their submissions to present at the BSAS 2018 annual conference.

The society is welcoming submissions on any aspect of animal science for the event, which this year is focusing on the challenges and opportunities the livestock industry faces in the midst of market and political upheaval.

Titled ‘Innovation to compete in the global livestock industry’, the event will cover the technologies and developments being made to drive more sustainable livestock systems, as well as the issues that need to be addressed to ensure the sector’s full potential is grasped.

For the first time ever, the 2018 annual conference will be held in Dublin, at the iconic Croke Park stadium, from Monday 9 to Wednesday 11 April.

The move to Ireland is part of BSAS’s drive to enable new and different audiences to join the debate around livestock science and production, and form’s part of the society’s plans to move the event to different cities across the UK and Ireland.

Potential speakers have until Tuesday 31 October 2017 to make their submissions to present at the event.

Submissions should only one page in length - for more details visit the BSAS 2018 event page.
