Success for Servcorp’s Youngcare Charity Bowl Off!

As part of Servcorp’s ongoing commitment to Youngcare, the “Servcorp Annual Bowl Off” charity events took place in Sydney on 20th October 2010 at Strike Bowling Bar, King Street Wharf and in Brisbane 5th October at Strike Bowling Bar, Wintergarden.

Sydney, NSW, November 01, 2010 (PressReleasePoint) -- The Servcorp event aimed to bring together more than 100 people within the commercial real estate industry to host a fantastic evening of fun and raise awareness for much needed funds to help the important work of Youngcare. Donations were collected through corporate sponsorship packages and raffle tickets. So far Sydney and Brisbane have raised $8300!

Shead Property took home the winning trophy in Sydney, beating CB Richard Ellis who won the Servcorp Bowl Off title last year. Brisbane saw Jones Lang LaSalle as champions, beating last year’s winner Savills.

Taine Moufarrige, General Manager of Australia and New Zealand commented, “The Sydney event was a complete success! With nine companies who attended the fun filled event we managed to raise a solid $5000 to help the work of Youngcare Charity in their worthy cause. Servcorp has been a long time supporter of Youngcare and we believe in helping Young Australians achieve a better quality of life, which is why we continue our strong commitment and show our strong support through our donations”.

Youngcare is an Australia wide charity which Servcorp consistently supports with annual donations exceeding $100,000. Youngcare raises funds to help provide care and facilities for young Australians who need 24/7 care. Sadly, young Australians with high care needs have very limited care and lifestyle choices. Over 6,500 of these young people live in nursing homes where the average age is over 80. Youngcare is committed to providing appropriate and dignified care and lifestyle choices for these people and their families. Providing a comfortable and enjoyable lifestyle for these young people has a tremendously positive impact on their standard-of-living.

Servcorp and the Bowl Off sponsors in each location are looking forward to a fun-filled and successful fundraising event. Next stop is Perth on 9th November, Wellington on 11th November and Auckland on 18th November. Servcorp is aiming to raise over $250,000 for Youngcare through this event.
