Do one and one make three? Swedish emergency services might agree they do. An increasing number of fire brigades, ambulance services, police departments etc. are relying on the tandem of Barco’s networked visualization – and projectors/displays - and Atea software to control their services. The result is a real-time overview of events that fosters quick decision-making and speedy actions. Which can make a difference between life and death.
Networked visualization As an early adopter of Barco’s networked visualization systems, IT expert Atea integrated Barco’s control room management (CMS) software and the TransForm N family of networked controllers into a modular control solution for emergency services. This package is now finding its way to an increasing number of customers across Sweden.
Hyllie fire brigade The Hyllie fire station near Malmö is one of the emergency services that chose Atea/Barco solution. The firefighters are delighted with the concept. When an alarm sounds, the station operators can now immediately pinpoint the incident and the current positions of fire appliances and ambulances on the bright, 3X2 Barco NSL video wall. Using secure IP technology, Barco’s networked visualization system retrieves information from the most diverse sources, for display on the video walls, desktops, smart boards, etc. across control rooms and even organizations. The result? Enhanced collaboration and decision-making, which is key to support the brigade in its vital mission to save lives!
