Swisscom launches new Managed Mobile Device Service for BlackBerry Enterprise Service 10 and the new BlackBerry Z10 smartphone

Today, Swisscom is launching its new Managed Mobile Device Service for BlackBerry Enterprise Service 10. With this new service, Swisscom will enable its business customers to outsource the management of BlackBerry smartphones as well as iOS and Android devices. If requested, Swisscom will take care of the operation and service of the application. Additionally, Swisscom also launches the BlackBerry Z10 smartphone in Switzerland.

As a device management system for all smartphones and tablets BlackBerry Enterprise Service 10 enables enterprises to not only manage BlackBerry devices but also iOS and Android smartphones on one platform. Swisscom offers BlackBerry Enterprise Service 10 as Managed Service which also includes the operation and maintenance of the server and terminal devices to enable its corporate customers to save on investments and efforts, and focus on their core competencies. With BlackBerry Balance technology, work applications and data are elegantly separated and secured from personal content on BlackBerry devices. This addresses the security needs of enterprises and also the privacy of employees. Further BlackBerry Enterprise Service 10 gives organizations a highly scalable solution and the flexibility to manage their mobile deployment as needed. It supports both corporate-owned and personal-owned (Bring your own Device) device deployments and mixed environments of BlackBerry and other platforms, providing mobile device management, mobile application management, and secure access to corporate data.

Lower pricing

As of today BlackBerry services could only be used with a special BlackBerry option on the SIM card. For BlackBerry 10 devices, this is no longer necessary thanks to the new device management system. This leads to a significantly lower pricing. The Managed Mobile Device Service for Blackberry Enterprise Service 10 is available for CHF 10,- per device and month for any enterprise. The advanced BlackBerry Enterprise 10 option can fulfill special safety requirements from institutional customers or large corporations with higher standards for security and manageability. For CHF 26.- per device and month, it enables the complete control of all integrated BlackBerry devices including the managed service.

The new BlackBerry Z10 4G smartphone exclusively at Swisscom

Swisscom will also launch the new BlackBerry Z10 smartphone in Switzerland. The new BlackBerry Z10 is the first smartphone to launch with the new BlackBerry 10 OS. The BlackBerry Z10 smartphone is the fastest and most advanced BlackBerry smartphone yet, and offers a smarter experience that continuously adapts to a customer's needs.
