Toronto, Canada - GAO Research Inc. ) recommends its T.38 Fax Relay Software in compliance with the latest ITU-T recommendations. This embedded software is able to operate on a variety of DSPs and processors and is optimized for fixed-point arithmetic.
The T.38 fax relay software allows the transfer of fax documents in real-time between two facsimile terminals over the Internet or other networks using IP protocols. Its latest revision clarifies H.323, H.248.1, SIP and SDP call establishment and improves the compatibility between T.38 gateways and Group 3 fax.
GAO's T.38 fax relay software is fully compliant with ITU-T T.38 fax relay specification while supporting V.17/V.29/V.27ter standards. It is available for commonly used processors such as TI C5000 & C6000 series DSPs, ARM processors and ADI DSPs under Windows and Linux. It has been integrated and tested with hardware-based fax data modems providing operating data rates of up to 14.4 kbps. A "spoofing" function is implemented to prevent jitter, delay or lost packets. In addition, this software provides support for both UDP and TCP.
This T.38 fax relay software belongs to GAO's family of Fax Software. This line also includes other featured software such as V.17 Fax Software implementing the ITU-T V.17 recommendation for a two-wire modem for facsimile applications with rates up to 14,400bps, V.29 Fax Software which consists of transmitting functions and receiving functions which are called to transmit/receive bits in groups of 2 or 3 (referred to as symbols) at rates of 1200 or 1600 symbols per second respectively and V.34 Fax Modem Software which is available for Super Group 3 (Super G3) fax application.
