Tait supports US-NZ Partnership Forum as relationship reaches new level
Date : February 18, 2011
Christchurch-based Tait Radio Communications is hosting a high-level US delegation at its head office as part of its sponsorship of the NZUS Council's Partnership Forum next week.
Tait Radio Communications Managing Director Frank Owen, who is also addressing the Forum, said, "We're delighted to sponsor this event and host such distinguished guests on Presidents' Day.
"The USA is a crucial trading partner not just for Tait, but for the whole of New Zealand. There is much to discuss for the mutual benefit of both economies at this critical time," adds Frank, of NZ-owned Tait.
The US NZ Partnership Forum welcomes nine serving Congressmen and representatives from significant US corporates like Boeing, Kraft Foods, Lockheed Martin and Time Warner. New Zealand Prime Minister John Key will open the Forum.
"The entry of the United States into the Trans-Pacific Partnership free trade negotiations and the signing of the 'Wellington Declaration' by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in November, 2010, signalled broadened collaboration between our two countries.
"Tait encourages high-level delegations of American and New Zealand government, business and community leaders to explore issues and ideas which accelerate economic growth for both countries," concludes Frank.
