RALEIGH, N.C. – Tammy Lynn Center for Developmental Disabilities, a non-profit serving children and adults with special needs, has received a 2009 Technology Grant from IBM.
The grant provides Tammy Lynn Center with refurbished Lenovo equipment, including three Lenovo ThinkCentre Towers, three 17-inch Lenovo ThinkVision Monitors, and three Lenovo ThinkPads.
The desktop computers will provide the Center with much needed equipment to facilitate communication between families and case managers. Child development specialists who work off-campus in clients’ homes will be able to immediately access and track data using the laptops.
“It is vital to our success to be able to send and receive information and update records as soon as possible,” says President and CEO Mary Freeman. “Our staff requires the most up-to-date information to ensure our clients and residents receive quality care. We appreciate the support of IBM for providing us with the latest technology to help us carry out our mission.”
