Long Beach, CA – Local nonprofit, Team Long Beach is excited to announce a special Long Beach performance by Miss Coco Peru of her hit show “She’s Got Balls” benefiting their AIDS/LifeCycle fundraising efforts.
Award-winning Storyteller, Monologist, and Star of Stage and Screen Miss Coco Peru (aka Clinton Leupp), has engaged and humored audiences around the globe with her unique brand of humor. In her latest show “She’s Got Balls”, she reflects on her early childhood dreams of being a stripper, her crush on the Creature from the Black Lagoon, her love/hate relationship with Facebook, why she left her beloved hometown of NYC, and her summers spent on a nude beach with her husband, Rafael (he’s from Spain).
Inspired by her mother Helen’s advice to have the balls to say whatever the hell she feels like saying, Coco is on a quest to do just that and, in the process, make the world just a little more beautiful. After all, she does what she can do. Come see why Lily Tomlin called Miss Coco Peru “One of the last great storytellers”!
The show will be at 8:00 PM on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at the Ernest Borgnine Theater (855 Elm Street) in Long Beach. There will be a VIP Reception at 6:00 pm, which is included in the price of VIP tickets, and a cocktail hour for all ticketholders at 7:00pm. Both receptions will feature a cash bar.
Ticket prices are $60 for VIP seating (which includes a VIP reception), $35 for Orchestra seating, and $25 for Mezzanine seating. Tickets are currently available, and may be ordered by specific row at http://MissCocoinLongBeach.brownpapertickets.com
Miss Coco has sold out many of her previous engagements in Long Beach, so early purchase of tickets is encouraged.
By bringing Miss Coco to Long Beach, Team Long Beach hopes to raise $25,000 to support AIDS and HIV health, testing, education and prevention services.
“The Team couldn’t be happier that Miss Coco has agreed to come to help raise crucial funds to fight this insidious disease, and everyone is really looking forward to a wonderful evening of entertainment,” said Melinda Elmer, AIDS/Lifecycle participant and Captain of Team Long Beach.
