Technicolor Provides Host of Services for Nominated Features at the 2010 Oscars®
Technicolor (Euronext Paris 18453; NYSE: TCH) today announced that its industry-leading services were instrumental to 30 of the Academy Award nominated theatrical features at the 2010 Oscars.
HOLLYWOOD, Calif. - March 2, 2010 – Technicolor (Euronext Paris 18453; NYSE: TCH) today announced that its industry-leading services were instrumental to 30 of the Academy Award nominated theatrical features at the 2010 Oscars.
Of the 10 theatrical feature films nominated for Best Motion Picture in 2009, Technicolor provided key services to eight features, including Avatar, The Blind Side, The Hurt Locker, Inglorious Basterds, Precious, A Serious Man, Up and Up in the Air. Technicolor also served four of the five nominated films for the Best Animated Feature, including: Coraline, The Fantastic Mr. Fox, The Princess and the Frog and Up.

Technicolor also provided large format 70mm theatrical release printing for the 3-D IMAX presentation of Avatar, and Harry Potter and the Half-blood Prince. The company provided services to two of the most highly regarded theatrical documentaries of 2009, The Cove, and Food, Inc., and to the most highly touted “independently” produced theatrical feature of the year, Precious: Based on the novel Push, by Sapphire. As the industry migrates further into the realm of 3-D, Technicolor’s provided its industry leading 3-D mastering services for a number of the nominated features.
