Service Provider Expands Business with Operational Networking

REDWOOD CITY, Calif. - March 16, 2010 -Nimsoft, the first provider of Unified Monitoring™ solutions, today announced that Technium Consulting has successfully expanded its business in operational monitoring since deploying the Nimsoft Monitoring Solution (NMS).

For over 10 years, Technium Consulting has provided top-notch networking expertise for mid-sized enterprise customers with multiple remote sites and 24x7 network operation for critical application requirements. Technium has built its reputation in high availability, disaster recovery, and network security design, architecture and monitoring services. However, to continue to grow its business, the company recognized a need to expand its outsourcing portfolio.  When developing a growth plan, Technium determined its existing network monitoring solution wasn’t scalable and would limit the company’s growth potential.

“The GroundWork Open Source network monitoring platform fell short in several key areas for us,” said Michael Joseph, President of Technium. “The architecture was not scalable without extensive labor to customize —each server had to be managed separately—the interfaces lacked executive-level reporting capabilities, and in the current architecture remote monitoring probes were limited to network and server performance.”

Technium evaluated an array of products and found the majority lacked the scalable architecture the company needed. Joseph explains that annual revenue growth has averaged 25 percent over the past 5 years, but is forecasted to jump to 40 percent this coming year, based on growing sales activities, due in large part to Nimsoft. “Thanks to Nimsoft, we’re moving our business to focus on operational monitoring.
