Texas Instruments Japan names new president

DALLAS (March 6, 2013) -- Texas Instruments Incorporated (TI) (NASDAQ: TXN) Japan today announced that Mr. Tomoaki Taguchi was named as the company's new president effective April 1, 2013. In becoming president, Mr. Taguchi leaves his position as Officer and General Manager of Sales & Marketing for TI Japan.
Mr. Taguchi started his career with TI Japan in 1981. Positions he has held include Product Technology Development Center Manager, ASP Quality Manager, Analog Business Senior Manager and Marketing & Application Senior Manager. He has been the Officer and General Manager of Sales & Marketing since April 2010.
Mr. Taguchi will replace Mr. Kenji Wada, who has been president of TI Japan since April 2010. Mr. Wada joined TI Japan in 2003 and served as Manager of Sales and General Manager of Sales & Marketing. During his time as president, Mr. Wada strengthened the technical support and sales team by expanding local sale offices in Japan.
Mr. Wada will temporarily assist with supporting Mr. Taguchi.
