SDVOSB provider of Printing and Binding services wins $1.6 million Federal prime contract with Systematic Business Development Solution

Rockville, MD, March 03, 2009 (PressReleasePoint) – fedXccel, the federal small business marketing solution, today announced that Thompson Press, a provider of high-quality printing and binding solutions, has successfully won Federal prime contracts using fedXccel’s early intelligence solution.

"The fedXccel team helped me find the right opportunities and provided invaluable assistance in my federal marketing efforts." said Tony Delli Carpini, Vice President at Thompson Press. "All I need to do now is to replicate this success and win a couple more such large deals".

Thompson Press was founded in 1985 and has a strong track record of performance in the commercial sector. Being a company owned by Veterans, Tony decided to enroll in the Government's Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) program to grow the business by providing printing and binding services to Government customers. Tony, a Vietnam War Veteran, was entrusted the task of growing the federal practice.

He faced multiple challenges - small unprofitable jobs; losing bids to larger competitors and not being able to connect with Federal decision makers. In early 2008, Tony decided to look for a solution to help grow his federal business. After evaluating various options, he engaged fedXccel in Feb 2008 for business development assistance. fedXccel's small business marketing team reviewed Tony's federal business development practices and created a customized systematic business development process. This process included identifying opportunities early on, reaching the federal decision makers with the right message by understanding their role and using market research for competitive intelligence.

All of this hard work paid off! In Fall of 2008, Thompson Press, Inc. was awarded a $1.6 million printing and binding services contract by a major Federal Agency.
