Jeweler’s Dazzling Designs Spark a New Movement of Color and Light

NEW YORK, NY (August 27, 2014)

Tiffany Masterpieces debut with an electrifying beauty. A current flows through these dynamic jewels, a force of creativity driven by a vision that is brilliantly interpreted in the finest diamonds and gemstones mounted in purely modern settings.

The world’s premier diamond jeweler, Tiffany maximizes the stones’ firepower in designs that move with effortless elegance. Among these are earrings of radiant diamond tiers and bracelets in open weaves and medallions as fine as lace; tassel pendants shimmering with diamonds and seed pearls; and rings of rhythmic contours accented with sapphires.

Other rings feature rare colored diamonds for which Tiffany is renowned. These treasures hold the mystery of the natural world in saturated hues from yellow and purplish pink to bluish green. An exceedingly Fancy Deep Brownish Greenish Yellow diamond of 8.16 carats is bordered with white opal and colored diamonds in 18 karat rose gold.

Color fuels the momentum with an Art Deco-style necklace and bracelet of green chrysoprase, black spinel and diamonds anchored with a curvaceous buckle. In addition, a tassel of turquoise beads flows from a sparkling diamond cap and diamond ribbons swirl over a wide bangle of black lacquer and 18 karat white gold.

Fall 2014 also marks the debut of a number of modern Tiffany Masterpieces created by design director Francesca Amfitheatrof. Several pieces are inspired by archival jewels of diamonds set in square bezels that are delicately linked and many take a cue from the linearity and fluidity of 1920s design. Amfitheatrof combines a mixture of custom cut princess, baguette and round brilliant diamonds in elegant necklaces and bracelets that exemplify a new clarity and lean confidence.

Each design has discreet details—how the diamonds move or how the elements are linked—that are so subtle only the wearer knows about them, creating a very personal connection to the piece. The jewelry’s varied lengths layer beautifully to build volume and generate a dazzling light. Other diamond and platinum jewels drape like silk scarves and delicate folds of satin.

Amfitheatrof’s vivid color palette reveals more innovation and versatility. Black spinel and diamond baguettes create sophisticated linear patterns, and jewels of hand-carved white agate contrast cool with the warmth of 18 karat gold. In one of her strongest statements, gemstones including citrine and turquoise are set in reversible necklaces of sculptural and geometric gold links that are bold and well articulated.

Handcrafted in a tradition of excellence and with a style that is legendary, these newest Tiffany Masterpieces are set for a spectacular run.
