Times Private Treaties, as part of its investments in the education sector, has invested in Indian School of Business, Manav Rachna Educational Institution, Access Atlantech, Career Forum, Everonn Education, ICRI, IIHT Ltd., Mindlogicx and Seed Infotech, EDVANCE Learning Private Limited and Uniworld Edutech Limited.

Times Private Treaties continues its alliance with the prestigious Indian School of Business, Hyderabad. ISB has been ranked among the top 12 B-schools of the world by the London Financial Times.

Manav Rachna Educational Institution also got into a strategic alliance with Times Private Treaties.

Overall, India needs to increase investment in education, health and infrastructure to lift its economic growth rate, which slowed to a six-year low of 6.7% in 2008/09 from 9% or more in the previous three years.

Times Private Treaties today has a fair spread of investments in what is tipped to be one of the fastest growth areas of the country given the compelling need for high quality human capital for India’s growth industries across IT, retail, telecom, hospitality, tourism, infrastructure, media and manufacturing. With these investments, Times Private Treaties has expanded its position in the education sector where it has already invested in Access Atlantech, Career Forum, Everonn Education, ICRI, IIHT Ltd., Mindlogicx and Seed Infotech, EDVANCE Learning Private Limited and Uniworld Edutech Limited.

ISB recently became an associate school of the MIT Sloan School of Management (SSM), one of the five schools of Massachusetts Institute of Technology (US), for its upcoming campus at Mohali near Chandigarh. SSM joins the leagues of The Wharton School, The Kellogg School of Management and London Business School (LBS), with which ISB has partnered for several years.

On the other hand, the Manav Rachna Educational Institutions are among one of the top five private educational institutions in North India. The group has a widespread presence in K-12 category and higher education, with its campus spread over 85 acres of land and has on its rolls about 14,000 students; 1,000 teachers and 1,200 regular staff in 11 institutions, including 5 international schools.

The focus on education comes in the context of large positions being adopted in the sector by a number of PE players. Recently the private investment venture of Azim H. Premji announced a large investment in Manipal Universal Learning, part of the Manipal Education and Medical Group. Other investors in the education scene include Milestone Religare and Pearson.

Times Private Treaties offers educational institutions an option to attain requisite visibility for a sector that continues to require category development, high levels of communication and an approach for institutions to access varied media platforms.
